What about me? Let's start by getting the big bad out of the way. I am what they so politically correctly call BiPolar I (one). In the old days they called it manic-depression, which is a much better term for expressing the symptoms. They say I even have "psychotic features," kewl. No need to fear though, I am more or less stable when I take my meds. I don't define myself by this illness, I just like to get it out in the open so that when I do say something off the wall, you'll know why.
The important stuff is I am a single mom of adult children and a Nana to one 9-year-old boy.
I live very near the ocean and love to go beachcombling and hiking up in the hills. I think that someday I will write a book. That would please my dad, who is no longer with us, however I still think he would somehow know.
I'm an avid reader and a computer geek. I love people, all people of all sizes shapes and colors. I want to know their stories.
And damn it, I'm 50 now!
